Holy is Your Name

This last Sunday we talked about how great our God is! We unpacked the phrase in the Lord's Prayer "Hallowed be your name."  This means God is holy, mysterious and beyond us. I can think of no greater way to catch just a glimpse of what this means than to take a look at God's creation, specifically the universe. Here is just a couple pics and descriptions from this last week.

First Service!

February 26th, 2012 will always be special date on the Mill City Church calendar as it marks a beautiful step in our journey. After many, many months of praying, planning and preparing we experienced 'lift-off' with our first Sunday morning service! The leading and faithfulness of God has been so evident in these days of culmination and beginning. Thank you to all who participated and celebrated with us. We look forward to all that is ahead!

Current Series: Dear God

Everyone prays.  Before a meal, over our kids at night, for the business deal to come through or for safety on the road.  We even hear "our prayers are with you" on the evening news. So as a follower of Jesus is there anything different about our prayers? Or have the same requests now just been shifted to a new source? Should our prayers be unique?

Join us as we unpack Jesus' teaching on prayer - formally known as The Lord's Prayer.  Whether you have recited these words so many times they have no meaning or you have never seen the point, we will find that they are are more relevant than ever.

Mill City Church: the rest of the story

Over the course of the last two years God has been stirring and whispering into Jossie's and my heart about planting Mill City Church. I love to share what God has done and how the Mill City journey has developed, but don't always get the chance to share the details.  I recently gave a talk at New Life Church in Colorado Springs describing some of the ways God has been unfolding this story. You might enjoy hearing different parts that you may have missed. To hear the talk click here.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Mill City Church First Service

The time has finally come and we are excited to announce that the first weekly Mill City Church Sunday morning service will be:

February 26th, 2012 at 9:30AM at the University Center for the Arts.

Some might be more familiar with this building as the “old Fort Collins high school”. It is located one block north of Prospect and one block east of College at the corner of Remington and Pitkin. The address is 1400 Remington Street, Ft. Collins, CO 80524.

The facility is beautiful both inside and out and though we are grateful for a nice venue we are most excited about the opportunity to gather as the people of God to lift up the name of Jesus.

*Children’s ministry will be available for birth to 5th grade. Check-in will begin at 9am.

*Parking is available on all sides of the building.

We hope you will join us, invite your friends and family, and celebrate this next step in the Mill City journey.

For His fame,
