Mother's Day 2012

What a special first Mother's Day at Mill City as we all heard God's heart for moms from three beautiful women. There have been many requests for a copy of the Mother's Day prayers. We have put the audio file together, so now you can hear this portion of the service by clicking on the link below. (The file will download and play in your computer's audio player). It is definitely worth listening to even if you aren't a mom or a woman.  Enjoy.

Baby Dedication: Harper Fowler

Congratulations John and Elizabeth Fowler...dedicating Harper on Mother's Day. We are so thrilled for you and look forward to watching her grow into a woman of God.

We dedicate babies out a heart of gratefulness to God, recognizing that children are a gift from Him, much like Hannah dedicated her son Samuel in I Samuel 1:26-28. Baby dedications happen at Mill City on the second Sunday of every month. To schedule a dedication email:

Current Series: FOLLOW

While on the earth, the invitation most often given by Jesus was "Follow Me". Some people responded and others walked away. Why? What turned them away? Do we ever respond like this?

When Jesus said "follow me", people literally followed Him.  They stopped what they were doing and walked the same roads Jesus walked. They ate with Him, talked with Him and lauged with Him. The same invitation is given to us, but what does it look like for us today?

How do we know where Jesus is going? Can we hear God's voice? If so, how? Does God care what I do with my life?  How do I know?

The list of questions that come along with following Jesus goes on and on. Join us at Mill City, starting April 22nd, as we look to find answers and FOLLOW Jesus together.

Harvest Farm Update: bicycles

Our first series at Mill City was about the Lord's Prayer. Taking a look at a prayer so familiar to many and unpacking what it means to pray as a follower of Jesus.  When we came to "Give us this day our daily bread" we talked about how we need to lift our eyes to the needs of others when we have our daily needs met.  We can be the answer to other's prayers for daily bread.  We highlighted a need we became aware of through someone in the Mill City community who works at Harvest Farm - a rehab facility for those trapped by addiction.  A bicycle is a huge blessing when they are on the farm and when they leave. We determined to give bicycles and fill this need.

In the weeks since, your response has been incredible.  We purchased some refurbished bikes and people brought extra ones to church. Below is a picture of some of the bikes we gave and a brief letter from the men at Harvest Farm. Well done Mill City!

"We, the fellows at Harvest Farm, wanted to send you folks at Mill City Church just a note saying how grateful and appreciative we are for the donating of bicycles we received.  Thank you and God bless!"
